Folger's. This is for !@#$%^&* Folger's!!!

Wow. Turns out there are still some people in this business with courage.

I don't know if it's right. But I sure love 'em for trying.

Those people don't really exist because they would be killed by people who hadn't had their coffee yet.

Does make me think of those goofy Pepto Bismol 'dance' commercials.

Anyway, I think there are a lot of other ways to tell the story of coffee. This is not one I would pick!

I agree, the courage it took is admirable. Dave J is right. There are other ways to tell the story of coffee. This one is a repellant for me.

A Black lab Five interpretation would be interesting to see. Your video (commercial) clips have always been a favorite of mine.

The spot does kind of remind me of the Eager Beaver spot Fallon did for Miller Lite in the late nineties. I loved the entertainment value of it but I'm pretty sure it didn't sell much beer.

That said, the folks at Boing Boing love this spot and say they'd stop using their Tivo if every commercial was like it. And the fact is that the Folger's brand is pretty much screwed, as their customer ages and the rest of the coffee-consuming public finds no reason to drink this swill. I guess I'm just saying it's a really tough brief and that it's better to be way – okay, way-way – out there.

You should check out toleratemornings.com. The site is painfully slow to load but a nice bit of synergy.
