State of the Union Address.

No, I'm not taking sides in the political debate here. But, my word, when will we elect a president with the chutzpah to reinvent this tired format? The whole routine is ridiculous. Stand and clap, don't stand and clap, stand and clap some more. Do they really think any voter is taking any of this seriously? It's just another reason why it's so difficult to truly engage Americans in the political process.

Trite doesn't even begin to describe it.

Amen to that. Or, why even watch it when the media gives a summary of the topics of the speech the whole day before it's given, and then we listen to a follow up of it the entire day after. It all makes me very sleepy.

You'd better watch it, Dean - posting this liberal propaganda on your blog... I'm guessing your phones will be tapped if they haven't already been.
